How to rotate single pages
Each thumbnail in the page grid has a ↻ button in the corner. Click once to rotate that page 90° clockwise. Click again to keep adding 90° (so 90 → 180 → 270 → back to 0). The change is visible in the preview before you save, so you can mix orientations across the same document if you need to.
How to rotate every page at once
Use the "Apply to all" buttons above the grid. Pick 90°, 180° or −90° and the rotation is applied to every page in the PDF. This is the fastest fix when an entire document was scanned upside-down or sideways. The Reset button restores the original orientation if you change your mind.
Why PDF pages come rotated in the first place
Rotated pages are usually caused by the scanner orientation, by photos taken on a phone in landscape mode, or by exporting from a tool that didn't record the correct page-orientation flag. Rotating in TinyFoto rewrites the rotation metadata inside the PDF — the underlying page content is not re-rendered, so quality stays identical and the file size barely changes.
Is it really private?
Yes. The rotation happens entirely inside your browser using the pdf-lib library. Your PDF is never uploaded to a server. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tool keeps working.
FAQ
Does rotating reduce quality? No. Only the rotation flag changes; the image and text inside the page are untouched.
Can I rotate scanned documents? Yes — the tool works with any PDF, including scanned ones.
What is the maximum file size? Up to 100 MB. Larger files may slow the preview down on older devices but still work.
Does it support password-protected PDFs? No. Remove the password in your PDF reader first, then rotate.
